ACEP14 Preview: Vol 33 – No 09S – September 2014

The sophomore year of innovatED promises to be even bigger and better at ACEP14. The latest technology and breakthrough treatment options are all right here from 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. on Oct. 27-29 inside the Exhibit Hall.

It’s not new any more, but innovatED might still surprise you at ACEP14.

It’s bigger than it was at the Seattle debut last year; nearly twice the space will greet emergency physicians, nurses, and administrative directors in the Exhibit Hall. It has a new design—moving patient flow in the ED is important, and so is making sure a trip through this interactive space is worthwhile, educational, and efficient. This popular space also features even more technological advances from even more industry trendsetters.

Block off some time for your visit so you can fully experience the space. Case-study scenarios will walk you through the newest innovative approaches, procedures, and products, showing how they can impact real-life situations. This simulated emergency department presents:

  • Patient treatment and trauma rooms
  • Pre-hospital and remote treatment
  • Patient check-in and waiting areas
  • Staffing stations
  • Communication and technology centers

Here, the best-of-the-best products and services—reviewed and vetted by a committee of emergency physicians—are showcased working together in a true-to-life environment. innovatED allows you to experience the current thinking, departmental design solutions, cutting-edge products and services, and best practices driving change in the ED, which is particularly valuable for those looking to rebuild or bring their facility up to speed with new technologies.

Try new equipment, learn about patient and staff safety improvements, download relevant content, and connect with clinical experts and industry leaders. Engage in deeper, more meaningful conversations about improving emergency medical care. Learn about the top-of-mind issues surrounding the evolving health care landscape within a contextual and interactive experience. Exchange ideas on the next steps for improving emergency care.

Not every technological breakthrough or new product gets to be a part of innovatED. Emergency care leaders choose the best of the bunch based on potential impact to health care and the specialty. Here’s who made the innovatED cut in 2014:
