Jeffrey William Runge, M.D., was named Outstanding Member of the Executive Branch by Presidential Appointment as part of the American Medical Association’s 2009 Dr. Nathan Davis Awards. The awards, presented to career and elected government officials, were established by the AMA in 1989 and are a prestigious recognition of outstanding service in the advancement of public health. AMA officers will present the award at a gala banquet in Washington, D.C., in March.
