Dan Morhaim, M.D., a life member of ACEP, received a 2011 Dr. Nathan Davis Award for Outstanding Government Service from the American Medical Association. Dr. Morhaim, the deputy majority leader of the Maryland House of Delegates, was recognized as an Outstanding Member of a State Legislature during the AMA’s national conference in February.

ACEP News: Vol 30 – No 02 – February 2011

The awards, named for the founding father of the AMA, recognize elected and career officials in federal, state, or municipal service whose outstanding contributions have promoted the art and science of medicine and the betterment of public health. Dr. Morhaim was nominated by ACEP President Dr. Sandra Schneider and the Maryland State Medical Society.
