2009 ACEP Elections: Meet the Candidates

At its annual meeting in October, the 318 Councillors who make up the ACEP Council and represent all 53 chapters, 30 Sections of Membership, and EMRA, will elect new ACEP leaders. The Council will elect four members to the ACEP Board of Directors, a new ACEP President-elect, and a new Council Speaker and Vice Speaker.

Ramon W. Johnson, M.D., FACEP

Internship and Residency: Internship in Pediatrics, UCLA, Los Angeles, Calif., 1979-1980; Residency in Pediatrics, UCLA, Los Angeles, Calif., 1980-1982; Residency in Emergency Medicine, UCLA, Los Angeles, Calif., 1982-1984; Chief Resident in Emergency Medicine, UCLA, Los Angeles, Calif., 1984-1985.

Elected to Board: 2004, 2007.

Sandra M. Schneider, M.D., FACEP

Current Professional Position: Professor and Chair Emeritus, Department of Emergency Medicine, University of Rochester, Rochester, N.Y.; Attending Physician, Strong Memorial Hospital.

Internship and Residency: Internal Medicine Residency, Hospitals of the University of Pittsburgh, 1975-1978.

Elected to Board: 2004, 2007.

Board of Directors

The ACEP Board of Directors provides day-to-day management and direction of the College. These members of the College have been nominated by the ACEP Board Nominating Committee to fill 3-year positions on the ACEP Board of Directors. Four positions will be filled.

James M. Cusick, M.D., FACEP

Jon Mark Hirshon, M.D., FACEP
