In recognition of his contributions to the field of medicine and his pioneering role in using intraosseous vascular access to improve patient care and save lives across the globe, Vidacare Corporation founder and chief medical officer Dr. Larry Miller is the 2012 recipient of the BioMed SA Julio Palmaz Award for Innovation in Healthcare and the Biosciences. Dr. Miller accepted the award, which is named after Palmaz Stent inventor Julio Palmaz, M.D., at BioMed SA’s annual Palmaz Award dinner in San Antonio, Texas.
