Dr. James J. Augustine was elected as chair for the Joint Commission’s Hospital Professional and Technical Advisory Committee (PTAC). In this role, he will also attend the Joint Commission’s Board of Commissioners meetings. The position is a 2-year term.

ACEP News: Vol 29 – No 03 – March 2010Dr. Arthur Kellermann, a past member of ACEP’s Board of Directors, was appointed to the RAND Corporation’s Paul O’Neill Alcoa Professorship in Policy Analysis. He will spearhead the RAND Public Health Systems and Preparedness research initiative, which helps state and federal agencies improve the nation’s preparedness for public health emergencies.
