ACEP Past President Dr. Linda Lawrence Elected to NCCPA Board

Linda Lawrence, MD, FACEP, has been elected physician director at large on the board of directors of the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). Her four-year term will begin January 2018.

Dr. Lawrence has served as President and Chair of the Board of Directors for ACEP. She retired from the US Air Force in 2016 and is currently president, southeast region, at US Acute Care Solutions.

“I am a passionate advocate for physician assistants…,” said Dr. Lawrence in a press release. “ I worked on that very issue as we grew the specialty of emergency medicine.”
