2012 Elections Set For the Annual Council Meeting

Each October at Scientific Assembly, the ACEP Council elects new leaders for the College. The Council, which represents all 53 Chapters, 32 Sections of Membership, the Emergency Medicine Residents’ Association, the Council of Emergency Medicine Residency Directors, the Society for Academic Emergency Medicine, and the Association of Academic Chairs in Emergency Medicine, will elect four members to the ACEP Board of Directors and the College’s President-Elect. Andrew I. Bern, MD, FACEP

Current Professional Position: Attending Physician, Dept. of Emergency Medicine, Team Health SE travel team, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

Internships and Residency: Residency: The Affiliated Hospitals of the University of Louisville/ University Hospital. Internal Medicine Residency and Internship: State University of New York at Downstate Medical Center.

Elected to the Board: 2007, 2010

Alex M. Rosenau, DO, CPE, FACEP

Current Professional Position: Senior Vice Chair and Assistant Medical Director for Emergency Medicine, Lehigh Valley Health Network/Lehigh Valley Physician Group, Allentown, Pa.

Internships and Residency: Internship: AOH, Allentown, PA; Residency: Botsford General Hospital, Farmington Hills, Michigan.

Robert C. Solomon, MD, FACEP

Current Professional Position: Attending Physician (Academic) and Emergency Medicine Core Faculty, Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa.

Board of Directors

The ACEP Board of Directors provides a day-to-day management and direction of the College. These members of the College have been nominated by the ACEP Board Nominating Committee to fill 3-year positions on the ACEP Board of Directors.

Vidor Friedman MD, FACEP
