Case Report: This case report demonstrates, in video format, a unique method of anterior shoulder dislocation reduction termed the Islek technique. This innovative approach utilizes no traction or medication but uses a single clinician massaging the axilla with the thumb while the other hand is on the shoulder massaging the trapezius. Reduction time is generally short (less than five minutes) and without a need for sedation or pain control. Overall, case reports provide opportunities for emergency physicians to expand their knowledge base as well as procedural competence.5
