A two-part series on ACEP’s regulatory blog tackles both sides of the consolidation coin. The first blog, focused on recent federal efforts to address hospital and physician consolidation, discusses trends seen in the current health care system and summarizes the steps Congress and the Biden Administration have taken to address it. The second blog, focused on insurer consolidation and the bad insurer behavior that comes with it, dives deep into the Medicare and Medicaid data and how it affects emergency medicine (EM). Read the full series and subscribe to ACEP’s weekly regulatory blog.
