As she continues to break barriers in medicine, Dr. Elie also embraces the balance of work, family and culture. And now, cooking is another way she stays grounded.

5 Fun Things with Dr. Elie 

Favorite Thing About the South: The seasons are short and go by quickly. 

Favorite Entertainment: Watching Outer Banks with my kids, and my husband and I enjoyed Ozark and The Diplomat. I also like going to musicals with my kids so I can sing along. 

Favorite Holiday: Halloween, for sure. I love the costumes, the food, the candy, and all of the creativity involved in getting dressed up. 

Favorite Season: Fall – I enjoy the foliage, hiking and enjoying the colors. 

Favorite Exercise: Hiking. 

Extra: 

Favorite Way to Start the Day: Meditation and spiritual reading.
