Emergency Medicine Hackathon Returns to ACEP15This year, it promises to be even better as ACEP and the Emergency Medicine Residents Association (EMRA) have teamed up with up with MIT Hacking Medicine and athenahealth, Inc. to offer a problem-solving hackathon during ACEP15. The hackathon leverages out-of-the-box thinkers for an amped-up, all-weekend problem-solving session where emergency physicians collaborate with computer programmers, engineers, and other subject matter experts to tackle challenges in EM.

The hackathon begins on Friday evening, Oct. 23, at the beautiful athenahealth headquarters, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, Massachusetts, just before ACEP15 begins in Boston. Participants will work (hack) through the weekend, and judges will decide the winners on Sunday, Oct. 25. Prizes and cash awards will be provided, and the grand prize winners will be invited to present their solution during the ACEP15 annual meeting at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center on Monday, Oct. 26.

Check back at ACEP Hackathon for registration information.
