Access to mental health care is a complicated problem for EDs, and it goes beyond lack of dedicated facilities. L. Anthony Cirillo, MD, FACEP, will explain how federal and state health policy, along with insurance regulations, have affected current mental health care availability and how EM physicians can improve mental healthcare by advocating for policy changes.
