When his service is up—he can serve up to two three-year terms—Dr. Bishop isn’t entirely certain of his plans, but he has some ideas. “I like to travel,” he said. “My kids are in their 40s, and they laughed and said, ‘You know, Dad, when we were growing up, we didn’t know if we could go on vacation if it was not at ACEP meetings.’”
