In January, NAEMT named Douglas F. Kupas, MD, EMT-P, FAEMS, FACEP, medical director, and Jeffrey L. Jarvis, MD, MS, EMT-P, FACEP, FAEMS, associate medical director.

Dr. KupasDr. Kupas is medical director for Geisinger EMS and director of mobile integrated health care for Geisinger Health System in Danville, Pennsylvania; Professor of Emergency Medicine at Temple University in Philadelphia; and EMS Medical Director for the state of Pennsylvania. He earned his MD from Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia and completed his emergency medicine residency at Geisinger Medical Center.

Dr. JarvisDr. Jarvis is an emergency physician at Baylor Scott & White Health in Round Rock; EMS medical director for the Williamson County EMS system; and medical director for Marble Falls Area EMS, all in Texas. He received his MD from the University of Texas Medical Branch and completed his residency at the Texas A&M College of Medicine/Scott & White Hospital.
