Bicyclists killed Average Age 47 up from 41 a decade ago

Men have 8x the bicycle fatality rate of women

Fatal Crashes: 75% occurred in an urban environment 20% bicyclists had a blood alcohol concentration >.08 g/dL

61% of Bicyclists killed in 2018 were not wearing helmets (helmet use was unknown for 24 percent).

Nonfatal Head injuries reduced 42% by bicycle helmet use
