The ACEP Toxicology Section has created and published the Antidote app, a succinct mobile resource designed for quick access to indications and dosing regimens for a variety of medications and antidotes used for common poisonings encountered by emergency care providers. The project was funded by an ACEP Section Grant.

ACEP Now: Vol 34 – No 04 – April 2015The app is equipped with a search function that allows you to find specific antidotes by entering a variety of keywords. For example, type in “bb,” and several possible antidotes for beta blocker poisoning will come up. Alternatively, you can search for individual antidotes or scroll through an alphabetized list. It also allows you to call a poison control center with the click of a button.
