ACEP created the Field Guide to COVID-19 Care in the Emergency Department to assist in this crisis. This resource is a compilation of what we currently know on the evaluation and treatment of COVID-19. It is a living document that is being updated as new information, guidance, and best practices evolve. This field guide aims to provide the information you need to assess the available
resources in your community and determine your local applications. At time of publication, the guide includes sections on Home Safety, Work Safety, EMS, Triage, Patient Presentation, Assessment, Diagnosis, Risk Stratification, Treatment, Special Populations, Business, Regulations and Liability, Personal Well-Being and Resilience, and the Impact on Education, Licensure and Credentialing.
